For years I’d never really seen much of the country beyond LA, SF, NYC, Miami—the middle of the country was pretty foreign to me until recently. Then I started eating and drinking my way through Wisconsin, Illinois, and now Ohio. You always end up learning something new on these trips. For example, I’ve learned I can’t eat like I used to, unless I’m planning on making “pajama jeans” a part of my daily existence. Another thing I learned is that Columbus serves as the headquarter for many popular clothing brands. Oh, and that people actually eat chili on pasta. But back to the shopping: I have some friends who live in the town of Granville, OH, which is pretty much the cutest place I’ve been to in a long time. In fact, it’s aesthetically perfect. A lot of art directors and designers for The Limited, Victoria’s Secret, and Bath & Body Works live here because their companies are only 25 minutes away—so, basically it’s a 3,000 person town, where most people have a great eye for design. In their honor, here’s their bread and butter.
