Bright And Quirky Footwear To Wear In This Gloomy L.A. Weather

These heavy grey skies have me totally bummed out. It won’t rain and it won’t get sunny, and most tragically, I don’t know what shoes to wear while running around to meetings and errands. Boots seem a little too dramatic and sandals just don’t feel right when the sun isn’t shining. (Yes, I know there are a lot of people who wear flip flops no matter what the weather. I am not one of those people, nor do I necessarily condone the practice, but we’ll save that spiel for another post).

I’ve always held a spot in my heart for L.L. Bean’s Bean Boots, but it’s never wet or slushy enough to properly get away with them here in (usually) sunny L.A. But the Bean Boot’s little sis, the Rubber Moc is a low cut version that slips on and off and works perfectly in this unpredictable weather. Plus, the company is doing some new, bright color combos like pink and black and navy and baby blue (my personal fave).

Throw these on while walking the dog or running around town. They’re an unexpected accessory to pair with a kicky little dress or prep up an already preppy-tomboy ensemble of rolled boyfriend jeans and a men’s inspired button-down.

WOMEN’S RUBBER MOC, $69.00, L.L. Bean.
