I used to spend an inordinate amount of time at Brooks Brothers in high school and college. For the former, I went to boarding school (and thus, wore a lot of boarding school-y things like ribbon belts and madras), and for the latter, I used to take the train in and out of the city, and there’s a Brooks Brothers in mid-town that’s a stone’s throw away. My favorite thing ever: Men’s pajamas, which seemed totally appropriate for the college cafeteria, too.
Brooks Brothers still has all those essentials (plus really great blazers from the boys department), along with some really rad racing stripe clad bags that are part of their fancier line, Black Fleece. I feel bad that it’s been so long since I’ve paid attention! I also want this feather-print scarf: It’s Hermes-like, but for a fraction of the price.

clockwise, l-r: BOYS WOOL BLAZER, $248.00, Brooks Brothers; FEATHER SILK SCARF, $124.00, Brooks Brothers; GLEN PAID MENS PAJAMAS, $98.50, Brooks Brothers; BLACK FLEECE SPECTATOR CLUTCH, $450.00, Brooks Brothers.
