Thank you all for entering the Win An Iconic Burberry Trench Giveaway. Reading through all the of the entries was truly a heartfelt experience. Some of them made me laugh, and a few were just so sweet I may have teared up a bit too (read: this).
But the winning fall memory I chose was from Bridget D. I loved her creativity and the idea that her mom pretended that she didn’t notice the glittery leaves in her front yard. Such a fun memory. She wrote, “Growing up in Plano, TX the leaves didn’t change colors. When we were little, a girlfriend and I decided to paint leaves orange, red, and yellow and sprinkle them in my yard because we wanted to truly experience Autumn. After we put our faux leaves out, we asked my Mom if she had seen the leaves were changing!?! She played along, letting us think we had tricked her. Later, I found the leaves saved in my “memory box” and a note my mom wrote saying “Bridget thought she could trick us with her pretend leaves. However, due to her glitter addiction, the glitter paint made them slightly less believable!” A great memory making them, even funnier finding them later.”
