The ergo baby winter weather cover was the best gift I received at my shower. I had my son in February when the weather in NYC was still quite chilly; this great cover let me take walks with my baby while he stayed warm and cozy and I could get some exercise in.

My 7 month old started teething a few weeks ago, and nothing seemed to help! A friend recommended Hyland’s Teething Tablets. At first I was skeptical, but one night after being up for hours with my little screaming monster, I was desperate! I drove to the 24 hour CVS and bought them in the middle of the night, and within minutes, I had my angel back. I haven’t had any problems ever since!

I love the way Burts Bee’s Baby Shampoo smells on my babies. They
are almost 16 months old and I still love the smell!

my daughter is a 2 and my favorite toddler item today is the same as my favorite baby item two years ago–aden and anais swaddling blankets. when I bought them I thought it was a splurge and I felt a little silly for spending so much money on blankets when I had gotten tons as gifts. I just thought these were going to be different, and they are!

when lucy was an infant I swaddled her in the blankets. when I sent her off to daycare she always had one with her (and she made friends with the other babies quickly because they all wanted to hold a corner of her blankie). we used them during tummy time and draped over her stroller during the summer.

now that she is two she still sleeps with one every night and cuddles up with it at naptime. during the day the blankets have become toys–they are beds for baby dolls, capes for superheroes, forts to hide under, covers for games of peekaboo…

I can’t pick just one can’t-live-without baby item. From the ergo baby carrier (with the infant insert), the portable baby swing (puts her right to sleep with a swaddle when she’s fussy), my favorite baby book “Your Baby Week by Week”, to the aden + anais swaddling blankets, I rely on this gear every day as a new mum. I love the Boppy pillow, the Britax B-Smart pram (with infant carry cot), Lansinoh nipple cream, and the Graco snap-in car seat and fold-up stroller. I use all these things every day, and am racking my brain trying to pick a favorite and can’t. I think all of them have really help make these first few months as easy as possible, in terms of Baby’s portability, tranquility, and comfort.

The Primo euro bath is the only baby bath that I have found that works for children up to age three who have a disability or limitation from an injury who cannot maintain head/trunk control and need the extra support to stay safe in the tub. Finally a way for these kids to enjoy a bath without thousands of dollars in medical equipment!

My daughter ended up having eczema, so any regular baby was broke her out- my friend actually bought me as a gift set aveeno baby bath products and i’m in love with them! i recently discovered a bedtime bath and lotion that smells even better then other bedtime bathes, and everytime i use it on her she is yawning and rubbing her eyes within 20 mins!!! best thing in the world has a lavender vanilla scent!! she smells so good after :)

My favorite baby item is a plain ol cloth diaper. Just throw it on your shoulder while holding your baby. Not only does it keep your clothers clean, it is much more sanitary for baby too. Think about it, all those messy burps sticking to the fibers of moms shirt and growing bacteria. Not to mention mom walking around smelling sour all day. Just grab a nice fresh diaper after each messy burp. Not the most pleasant of subjects, but hey, someone has to mention it. ;)

One of my favorite baby items is a five year diary (I like the Tamara Shopsin one). With only a few lines per day there is less pressure than a traditional baby book to write long letters to baby, but it is sooo sweet to look back and see what we were doing on the same day 1, 2 or 3 years ago! It also make a really unique baby shower gift :)

I am the mom of two children — a 2-year-old and a 6-month-old — and both of them have adored bath time since they were wee little things. However, I always was quick to get them in and out because I didn’t want them to be cold…until I received the Bath Love Frog as a gift (http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3211997). It keeps them warm and does double duty as a toy, which is great distraction for the hair washing segment of our nightly bath routine. It is a must-have for all Moms, even those that say, “Can’t a washcloth do the same thing?”, because yes, feasibly a washcloth could, but the novelty of the product, the kid-friendly construction and even the comforting name are worth the less than $10 that is costs, in my book! — Deeder

Forgot to mention my Maya Wrap. I got it as a splurge but it’s been my best friend. My 4 month old son Hudson loves being in it as he gets to see everything. We actually took him to the zoo for the first time this morning, and it was so great as he got to be close, and look at all the animals..I was able to talk to him and tell him about what he was seeing. So much easier than if he were in the stroller. He was close enough too, that I could give him kisses as we gazed at all the sites.

My favorite baby product will have to be pj’s with zippers. For the first few months I think pjs with zipper are a must, it just makes your life easier. When you’re sleep deprived and you’re changing a diaper at 3am last thing you want is to be looking for the right button to match up especially if the baby is crying, with pjs with zipper is just one zip up and you’re done! In my opinion it’s just faster, easier and more comfortable you don’t have little toes popping out. My son is now 8 months and that’s still all we use for night time. – cecela16

By far my favorite baby product is Indigo Wild’s Wee Rub. The lavender fragrance is naturally sooyhing, and it is the perfect moisturizing balm for my baby’s skin. I use to give him a relaxing massage before bed, but it also clears up diaper rash overnight, and it worked wonders on cradle cap! http://www.indigowild.com/products/baby-products/lullaby-lavender-rub/

My favorite baby product is Aquaphor. Sounds so simple but that stuff is amazing. I throw a tube in to all my baby gifts. My son, Oliver, spent 4 months in the NICU after being born and he had more than a few scratches, cuts, failed attempts to place ivs, etc. All of his little boo boos would break my heart but the hospitals turned me on to the greatest healing ointment ever…Aquaphor! We still use it for all booboos. It seriously heals overnight most of the time. http://www.aquaphorhealing.com/#/main/baby-care/

The Mustela foaming infant shampoo was by far my favorite. It’s even better now that it is pthalate/SLS/paraben free. A bottle lasts forever, smells fantastic, and completely prevents and treats cradle cap.

my favorite item is the BOB stroller! this baby is the cadillac of strollers and can be maneuvered with only your pinky finger. i love it for long walks or just to get the kid to take a nap!

  20. My favorite baby item is Bum Boosa Diaper Rash ointment. Our little baby had diaper rash in the first couple weeks and this product was so refreshing from the stinky Desitin we were given at the hospital. We coat his tushy everyday with this stuff which is made with zinc oxide, vitamin E, lavender, chamomile and bamboo powder. It smells great and Bum Boosa plants a tree for each container sold. Everyone wins!
