Del Toro Slippers: I’ll Take One Of Each, Please

Though this season’s overabundance of loafer options crowding shoe departments may suggest otherwise, a good slipper is hard to find (there are always these, of course). Originally a men’s brand, Miami based Del Toro has been in the business of offering affordable, customizable, Italian-made slippers since 2005 for both guys and gals. Though the assortment has expanded to include wingtips, chukkas and espadrilles – with a rainbow of colors and fabrications to choose from – the velvet slipper is still the company’s bread and butter. So which of these Hefner-esque  beauties would be in my shopping cart had it not been sold out in my size?  The (sadly) limited edition Fancy Flamingo Slipper designed in collaboration with the sartorially adventurous Leandra Medine of The Man Repeller blog. Le Sigh.
