Des Kohan: Finally, FINALLY Online

If I lived down the road from Des Kohan’s Miracle Mile shop, I might be kind of bummed that she finally decided to venture into the waters of the web, if only because she’s always harbored designers that you literally can’t get anywhere else. Not at Barneys, not at Net-a-Porter, not via collaborations with H&M. But let’s face it: I’m kind of lazy, and the idea of crossing the 405 unnecessarily just doesn’t jive with my normal work week, so I’m thrilled to be able to poke around and see what’s she’s up to from the other side of LA. Here’s the thing about Desiree: She’s designed her own (exquisite) line before, so she really understands all those details that make a top, or a dress, special, and she doesn’t pay any attention to trends. Everything she sells is something you could—and likely will—wear for years, which is a quality I’ve come to value more and more. As they say: The most expensive item in your closet is the piece you never actually wear. This holds true even for those $20 impulse buys that never lose their tags.

I love that little bow necklace!

  2. Elise says:

I actually own it—and wear it all the time, layered with other charm necklaces, etc. It’s actually a vintage Chanel shoe bow…pretty rad.

  3. Kat says:

That skirt kind of reminds me of an ostrich (little white wings folded back on a dark body). I love it!
