It was definitely time for a new pair of men’s jeans, but I was finding it difficult to drop $200 on some new denim. Thank goodness for my daily Gilt Groupe email (if you haven’t gotten on their list, and want an invite, drop me a line). They were having a men’s Rock & Republic sale, selling a wide selection of denim for half-off.
I chose a pair of the Rock & Republic Floyd Relaxed Bootcut jeans, and I like their fit a great deal. For some reason, the denim feels both a little solid and sturdy, while at the same time fairly soft. Right now these are retailing for $218, and that’s a bit steep, but the quality is high and they certainly get noticed.
Rock & Republic also has a number of styles that are less expensive on beso, notably a pair of ultra low rise jeans for $129 from Revolve Clothing.
I’m going to keep my eyes open for another Gilt Groupe sale because I want to stock up. My one complaint about the super-cool Gilt buying experience though: they package some of their “savings” into a higher shipping price, which I could really do without. I’ll be sticking to finding my savings on beso.
If you’re unable to get a good deal, I’ve also been loving my William Rast jeans. Now I feel just like Justin Timberlake, except for the whole dating supermodels, being generally the coolest guy in town, and fearlessly putting appendages in boxes. But there are some great deals on William Rast men’s jeans on beso. And if you want even more savings, check out the discounts on Rogan jeans, another favorite.
