So you know those stores that do a specific aesthetic so well that you want to just subscribe to it wholesale? And maybe just move right in? One such place is Jersey City’s Smith & Chang, which manages to marry beautiful, one-off vintage finds, well-designed, handmade-feeling new things (lots from Roost and Beekman 1802), and awesome prices. When Rob and I were living in Jersey City (sniffle), we used to stop by Smith & Chang all the time, just because we wouldn’t want to miss anything from the owner’s latest flea market escapades. And for gifts? It’s tops. Everything automatically feels thoughtful.
