So I have a little animal farm on the window ledge in my office: It’s been with me for years, maybe even since high school. I don’t even know how it started, but I’ve added to it over the years (it’s become quite useful for entertaining the children of my co-workers). At home, dozens of Breyer horses stampede through our bookshelves (Rob loves that). So maybe it’s not that surprising that I’ve always wanted a Hansa menagerie: They have a killer one in the window at Kisan, one of my favorite NYC boutiques. Not only are Hansa animals weird and cool, but they come in every conceivable size. A life-size lion for a grand? Why not (if you have a thousand dollars to spend on a stuffed animal). I think I might start for with the littler ones and build up to a stuffed Hansa horse that I can theoretically ride. Or a stable of said horses.
