I’m pretty thrilled to have Jeralyn Gerba on the homepage of Beso, today: The DailyCandy alum is one of the creative forces behind Fathom, an ingenious new travel-site that offers pretty much everything you actually want when you’re planning a trip (or just thinking about one). Rob and I are heading to Hong Kong and Bali on Saturday, and I’ve faithfully bookmarked all of their pieces, from the illustrated food guide to their itinerary-esque extravaganza. Another feature that merits a deep nod of appreciation is they also round-up everything else out there on the web that you probably want to read, from resources like Conde Nast Traveler (one of my old stomping grounds) and the New York Times. It’s just good stuff.
Now back to Jeralyn: I don’t know why I’ve been holding out on the Apple World Travel Adapter Kit (we have one, but carry too much tech these days not to have two), and I think she’s finally pushed me over the edge to invest in A Peace Treaty scarf. Done and done. I know Olivia has already posed the question, but what are your packing essentials? I haven’t even had a chance to think about what I’ll be cramming into my carry-on come Saturday.
