I spent the last two days trudging through the Javits Center at the New York International Gift Show, which is precisely that: In short, designers and companies from all over the world gather together for four days to show their wares, and take product orders from boutique owners and department store buyers alike. It is intense. And overwhelming. (There are aisles devoted to just…bar tools.) I always see old friends and much-loved companies (Arctecnica, Areaware), and then really exciting newcomers. Like Molly M, who does these incredible paper-cuts and laser-cut jewelry. Pretty amazing, right? (And really well-priced.)
