Seems like Brooklyn is really on top of its design game these days! Case in point: Williamsburg, NY based design studio/shop, PLANT. The fact that the whole operation is run by a couple of architects, Holly McWhorter and Bjarke Ballisage, is clearly evident in the sleek, modern vibe of their carefully executed products (all designed in-house with environmental impact in mind). For instance, the organic bodywashes – with catchy names like, Wake Up, Get Happy and Be My Baby – come packaged in minimalist squeeze bottles strangely reminiscent of the Elmer’s Glue bottles of our kindergarten days. And the hand-crafted letter opener that’s actually made of 100% post consumer recycled paper? Yeah, its literally made of old letters. Pretty clever, huh?
