Whenever I go for a run, without fail, my shoelaces come untied. And there is nothing I despise more than having to stop during my favorite pump-up song (Foo Fighters’ Everlong, try it) to stop and re-tie. Alas, Ryka has heard my cries, and I’m so ready to leave those old sneaks behind. The company, which focuses on sportswear for women (and designed by them, too!) takes the female anatomy into account: The hip-to-knee relationship can angle 5-7 degrees greater than mens’, which can lead to over-pronation that many brands do not compensate for. Sure, laceless shoes are nothing new, but I’m excited that these don’t look like some weird amphibian-type deal, and the colorways are super rad.
