Sailor Pants Equal
Summer Pants

The other day I was over at my mom’s because A. I’m nice B. Probably needed to check in on what I’m doing wrong with my life, which she’s happy to tell me C. She claimed to have some clothes she wanted to give me. “C” is what prompted me to actually get on the subway and go. My mom has great taste in clothes, even if we have very different style: She likes to dress like an equestrienne while I like to dress like a hobo living in an Urban Outfitters dumpsters. A lot of the time she’ll get rid of things in her closet and I get to score some awesome pieces, like the vintage Valentino linen “sailor pants” she just gave me. Being that I’m 5’4″, I always figured that a wide leg pant would just make me look shorter. BUT, these actually look good. And they’re so great for summer. Who knew? So now I’m on a sailor pant kick, ’cause I certainly don’t want to society see my legs and their yellow-ish tint, andt I also don’t want to wear skinny jeans in 90 degree weather. Problem solved.
