Lord, help me. How can I stop loving something if it’s everywhere I go? Everywhere I look? Ooh, it hurts so good.

Have motorcycle boots always been this cool, or have I been brainwashed by the Fashion Overlords? I know they’ve been around forever, and I’m pretty sure I never minded that rough-and-rugged Harley Davidson look, but I don’t think I obsessed about it, either.

Or have the Powers That Be just reworked the motorcycle boot into something so desirable that I cannot rest until I make them mine?

Maybe it’s that, until now, the look was fairly one-note: Big, chunky, bike-riding, black and badass. Which, I grant you, are not bad things. But by making the slightest variations on the look: brown or tan leather instead of black, changing the buckle placement, softening the look a little, designers have added new excitement to this old standard.  These boots are pretty much the hottest thing warming up my winter.

The delicious bonus of wearing motorcycle boots is that they are SOOO much better than UGGs! And if I’m going to see boots all over the place – day and night, rain or shine, all the time, everywhere – I’d much rather see something I’m in love with, than…well…something that’s kinda…well…ugg-ly.
