Black Long Sleeve Minis September 11th, 2010 By

My birthday just past and my boyfriend threw me a wonderful birthday party at club in L.A.  While stressing over what to wear, at the last minute I decided to head over to a dear friend’s house to borrow something.  She has such an amazing wardrobe; I thought it would be a hard decision, but as soon as I saw the black long sleeve mini dress with an open back and side cut out, I knew it was the one!  Sexy but sophisticated was exactly the vibe I was going for and the dress was perfect.

Since that night I have been thinking that I have to snag one of my own.  These ones with unexpected details would be perfect for wearing right into the fall, especially with a pair of tights.

1. With a mesh panel at the neckline this David Lerner Long Sleeve Mesh Dress is stunning. You will look amazing even if you’re not Alessandra Ambrosio!

2. I love the one sleeve and strong shoulder pad of this BCBGeneration One-Shoulder Belted Twill Dress.

3. This super short Lace Mini by Nightcap clothing is beyond sexy. The open back takes it over the top.

4. I love the name of this one! Blaque Label’s Hard to Explain Dress, is truly hard to explain… open back, but not fully.

Bag It: Treesje April 1st, 2010 By

I discovered Treesje while shopping for a new handbag a while back, and since then I have been debating which one to treat myself to.  Treesje is a California-based company that was launched in 2005 by designers Laura Darrah and Sheila Nazarian. Their inspiration was to capture femininity and originality in every piece created.

What I love most about Treesje bags are the rich colors and texture. The use of luxurious leathers and hardware make these accessories a must-have. Both designers combine their influences to design, sophisticated yet functional handbags with incredible detail in every collection.  It’s obvious why there is a growing list of celebrity customers including Drew Barrymore, Katherine Heigl, and Katie Holmes.

Below are my favorite Treesje handbags that I found on beso. Which one do you like best?

1.  Studded Lambskin Crossbody Bag, $355.00 at Bloomingdales

I have never seen a gray bag look so chic!  The pleat and stud details on soft lambskin with gold tone hardware is feminine yet tough.

2.  Treesje Marquis Satchel, $595.00 at Endless

I have said before that every woman should own a red handbag!  It pops against neutrals and exudes and element of power and confidence.  The rich cherry red, vertical seam detail and barrel-shaped hardware give this bag an elegant and polished look.

3.  Treesje Studded Metro Clutch, $370.00 at Amazon

Bag It: Bucket Bags March 29th, 2010 By

I am starting to notice a trend in bringing back old school styles such as the crossbody, drawstring, and bucket bags.  We once considered these bags for grandma, but now they’re back and way better than ever!  The key to reintroducing past trends is to give it new life with bolder colors, new details and more embellishments.  When I browsed beso for bucket bags, I found two new favorites.

1.  Stella McCartney Falabella Bucket Bag, $1,395 at Neiman Marcus

The Jewel Box: Resin Bangles March 27th, 2010 By

Seen everywhere: resin bangles.  After doing a little research on resin, I learned that it’s made from liquid plastic that turns solid when a hardener is added.  Jewelry is created with resin because of its versatility, lightness, and affordability.  As I browsed through beso‘s selection of resin bangles, I found a few that immediately caught my eye!

1. Kenneth Jay Lane Circle Resin Bangle, Blue, $45.00

Zac Posen for Target + More! March 17th, 2010 By

zac_posen

Designer Zac Posen

Zac Posen has taken the fashion world by storm and has become a household name with celebrities such as Natalie Portman, Naomi Campbell, Beyoncé, Claire Danes and many more. He is known for his old Hollywood glamour-inspired evening gowns and his sultry, body hugging designs.  Many feel that the designer is a symbol for change in the fashion industry.

Currently, Zac Posen is set to launch a lower priced collection for Target in April 2010. The collection is named 100% Zac, and is made for the woman who loves fashion without the couture price tag.  Target customers will enjoy printed dresses, swimsuits, and a few dressier pieces such as the tuxedo jacket.

Posen also launched Z Spoke on February 24 at Saks Fifth Avenue in NYC.  Z Spoke is different from Posen’s runway collections as it focuses on daywear rather than evening gowns.  Also, the sizes run up to a size 16 — great news for the curvy gals!

Accessory Style File: Pretty Pouches February 27th, 2010 By

I have finally mastered keeping the inside of my bags clean and organized!  The secret is to invest in a few pouches for makeup and loose change to avoid spills, leaks and stains.  Some of us can never figure out how the bottom of our bag gets so dirty.  Loose or melted lipstick, lotion and dirty change are usually the culprit. It’s almost impossible to clean the lining of a handbag so if you have a separate bags, you reduce the chance of an embarrassing mess.  It also makes it much easier to switch bags in a hurry!  Here are my stylish finds on beso that are perfect for your daily essentials:
