Jessica Jensen, a Fashion Marketing graduate, launched  her line of handbags in 2008.  After working with international brands like Calvin Klein, Nike, John Varvatos, Michael Kors and Lulu Guinness, Jessica was equipped with the knowledge and skills to start a line of her own.  Three words that best describe Jessica Jensen handbags are: classic, luxurious and functional.

Jessica Jensen’s philosophy begins with a high standard, demanding that every item be designed and manufactured as investment-worthy.  Each design has timeless appeal and is made with superb detail and quality.  Jensen’s vision is to offer stylish women luxurious, chic and feminine accessories that are equally wearable and attainable.

As you build your handbag collection, it is important to have a mix of classic trendy and unique pieces.  Options are important for the days you want a bag that matches your mood or best complements your outfit.  On the other hand, it is convenient to have a bag that looks great with everything.  When investing in a classic bag, look for subtle details such as a textured pattern or hardware that is simple and won’t go out of style.  After all, you want to be able to love your handbag forever.

Top 5: Fitness Shoes January 6th, 2010 By

Skechers Shape-Ups

Skechers Shape-Ups

Whether your New Year’s resolution involved joining a gym, walking/running outdoors or just fitting more activity into your everyday life, our picks for the top 5 fitness shoes will make achieving your goals easier.

Nike LunarGlide+

Nike LunarGlide+

The Nike LunarGlide+ : I love the Nike+ system for the motivation it provides for new runners.  If your fitness goal involves running, consider getting a Nike+ equipped shoe.  The Lunar Glide+ is a versatile running shoe that will work for underpronators, neutral runners and mild overpronators, providing cushioning and stability.  Nike+ requires an iPod Nano, iPhone or iPod Touch and an affordable sensor that is placed in the shoe.  You’ll be able to track your progress and set goals online on the Nike Running website.

Brooks Glycerin 8

Brooks Glycerin 8

The Brooks Glycerin shoe is perfect for neutral runners.  With gel cushioning, the Glycerin sneaker will protect your feet from the shock of the pavement.  It’s a great option for the marathon hopeful.

ASICS 2140

ASICS 2140

ASICS GT 2140 is a great shoe for overpronators.  It provides amazing stability to protect your ankles and knees.  It is available in a variety of colors.

Reebok EasyTone

Reebok EasyTone

Reebok’s EasyTone sneaker is best for walkers looking for extra toning as they get in their cardio.  Balance pods in the shoe create instability so that your leg muscles work a little bit harder. Easytone sneakers promise a tighter butt and thighs.  The low profile means that no one has to know that they’re helping you firm up.

If you’d like to challenge your muscles while you run errands, Skechers Shape Ups are the shoe for you.  Shape Ups, pictured at the top of the post, encourage heel-to-toe walking by replicating a barefoot walking experience.  The thick wedge sole takes a little getting used to, but it’s worth it since Shape Ups strengthen the muscles in your feet, helping you to walk better barefoot or in those sexy new stilettos.

Inspiring Customization from NIKEiD September 24th, 2009 By

My custom Nike Air Pegasus+ 26 iD running shoes

My custom Nike Air Pegasus+ 26 iD running shoes

I’ve recently been inspired to ramp up my workout regimen: partly by the aggressive training my friends are undergoing in preparation for triathalons, marathons, etc. and partly by my inability to fit comfortably into my favorite pair of jeans. As I dusted off my sneakers, I thought about how many miles I’ve put on them in the last year and I realized that it was probably a good time to buy a new pair. I’m not extremely loyal to any particular brand of athletic shoe, although I tend to lean toward Nike or New Balance.

A couple of friends have highly recommended New Balance recently, and I found some great deals on the 769 running shoes, but my soon-to-be retired Nike Air Pegasus pair have served me well, so why mess with a good thing? Not to mention that I can now order a truly customized pair with NIKEiD. Seriously, we’re talking custom here:

  • Nearly any color combination you could imagine
  • Choice of phylom foam or cushion foam for a softer ride
  • Gore-Tex® or open mesh upper
  • Trail or waffle outsole depending on your running surface
  • Independent left/right sizing
  • Customizable independent left/right personal iDs on the tongue

Combine top-notch customization with the legendary fit and performance of the Pegasus as well as Nike+ technology and you’ve got a pretty awesome running shoe – plus a little inspiration to run that extra mile.
