Cross-body handbags come in handy when you are constantly on the go. I’m always looking for another mid-sized cross-body tote as an everyday bag for work or for a Saturday full of errands. Mid-sized totes are perfect for the day, but when you are planning for a late night out, the small cross-body pouch can be your best friend.  It’s a great alternative to a little clutch and will never be left behind.

Bag It: Get Lucky December 11th, 2009 By

Lucky find!

Lucky Brand Slouch Hobo

In case I haven’t made it annoying clear, I have a thing for bags (and shoes. But this post is about bags.)  One of my favorites – and a style that catches my eye every single time, despite already owning it – is the Lucky Brand Leather Slouch with Whip Stitch Handle.

Really, this is a terrific handbag. The pebbled leather comes in a variety of rich colors, including dune, a light camel color, and patchwork.  The bag is incredibly simple, but the metal O-ring (silver- or brass-tone, depending on purse color) and whip stitch handle and side detail add just enough character to turn an understated piece into something unique, beautiful and smart.

There is a ton of space inside and no matter how full it gets, it never looks like I’m helping Santa with early toy distribution. In fact, this bag can hold so much that my only complaint is that it can sometimes be hard to find things due to a lack of pockets.

I’m really digging it in black (pictured).  One of the best things about the Lucky Brand slouch bag is that it gives much higher-priced designer shoulder bags a solid run for the money. It’s such a good price that it might be possible to get the black bag this Christmas – even without being good. Isn’t that right, Santa baby?
