So Rob has been back in New York for a few weeks, and while the cat’s away, well…I go shopping. And throw my wallet behind all sorts of crazy things. See Albertina? We all rebel. Kristin Ess of The Beauty Department and I had a little writing session at The Cheesecake Factory in the Grove yesterday (True story! Those booths are so spacious!), and since there was a torrential downpour in LA, we found ourselves trying to wait it out in Anthropologie. Actually, we thought maybe they sold umbrellas (they don’t). As I was browsing through the sale racks, I found these teal tartan pants, and had to try them on. They’re unlined, and cut from very thin wool, and look very similar to J.Crew’s Minnie pant in concept. But in fit, they’re totally different. (I’ve bought four pairs of Minnie pants over the years—fuchsia! tomato! navy! kelly green!—and had to return them all because they look terrible on me, something which I’ll never learn.) These guys on the other hand are super flattering (I’m wearing them with flats, a buttondown, and a slouchy sweatshirt) and so comfortable I think I might buy the other colorway, too. Overkill?

TARTAN SLIM PANTS, $129.95, Anthrologie.

Come back, Rob.
HAAAAA.
Ok, fair.
Oh I’ll be back. In head-to-toe http://christianaudigier.com/categories/ca-mens/ca-mens-apparel/ca-mens-apparel-hoodies-outerwear/eagle-and-snake-rhinestone-hoodie.html
It’s on.
I can rock patterns too. Bejeweled snake and eagle patterns…
That’s so Drive of you.

Oh GOOD, it’s not just me who has a problem with the Minnies. “Aka the magic pant, because it looks that good on everyone.” That line always infuriates me. They did an “Artisan” pant or something that was pretty good, but by all means, please do rock the plaid. And post pictures of Rob in his crazy hoodie thing.
You and Henry can be twins. I just bought him these:
