Top 5 Gingham Picks May 20th, 2010 By

Gingham with soft, feminine details is what I’m craving right now.  There are so many different pieces out this summer, it’s hard to choose just one.  After checking out the pics from the Chanel Resort show, I’ve been searching high and low for an afforadble version of this pink gingham swimsuit.  I found one at Bluefly for $47.99 on sale that might just do the trick.  It’s an Ondademar pink gingham string bikini; and while it doesn’t have the ruffles, I think that with the right accessories it will still be totally cute.

I’ve also thinking about this Betsey Johnson blue gingham dress that I had when I was 14 — totally rocked it with my patent Doc Martens.  I wish I still had it, but I’m sure I sold it to a thrift shop years ago to fund my next purchase (or pay my rent, either one).  I’m sure it’s been lovingly purchased, and I’ll catch a glimpse of it on the street someday.  Until then, here are some of my other favorites out right now:

1. Topshop Gingham Pinny Cover Up, $50

2. Mosley Tribes Men’s Lyndel Sunglasses, $180

3. Tory Burch Gingham Checked Shorts, $150

 4. Gap Gingham Western Shirt, $34.99 (36% off)

5. Topshop Gingham Metallic Fringe Scarf, $40
