I’m going to Japan next year and can’t be more excited. I’m a HUGE fan of Japanese house wares: Their practicality, simplicity and deeply sophisticated palette (lots of neutrals, light woods, and dark onyx). Since I have to wait another year before I get on that airplane, I’m getting my fix from Tortoise General Store on Abbot Kinney in Venice Beach. Luckily, if you’re neither in Venice OR Japan, they have a fantastic online store that is beautifully curated where I’m apt to waste an entire afternoon. Plus, I think I found my new collectors item: I’m enamored with these children’s Mari Balls and plan to collect as many as I can for my future babes.
