5 SUMMER STYLE
MOMENTS WE LOVE

When temperatures climb, it can be hard to resist the siren song of your favorite cut-offs and tees: So swap in just one of these easy-peasy style updates, and you'll advance your warm-weather wardrobe right along.

first

NAVAJO

Geometric shapes? Check. Colorful beading? Naturally. Desert-inspired hues? Of course. Eternally on-point, these are the sort of pieces that you can turn to from year to year: Not only are they timeless, but they mix well with all neutrals.

second

STRIPES

Sure, everyone knows how to work a basic striped top (we do it at least three times a week), but this season we're into seeing them as the tango partner in unexpected combinations. If you don't want to go straight-up sailor, you can mix them with florals (just make sure there's one color in common), stripes of a different direction or weight, or our favorite: Polkadots.

third

CHAMBRAY

We stockpile these in spades: They're great for toning down a brighter pair of pants (there are plenty of those this season), or making a fancy skirt look a little more casual. The best part? Because they're pale blue, you can pair them with jeans without looking like you're wearing a denim suit.

fourth

TIE DIE

This is no longer just for crafty kindergarteners: There are some truly inspired variations out there (Our pick? Ombré), but it's still a pretty major statement, so temper the psychedelic hues with more structured, and streamlined silhouettes.

fifth

PHOTO PRINTS

This is one of those style blips that we'll be happy to wear long after it's no longer cool: Vibrant colors, nature motifs, and all wonder of striking prints are just too fun to let linger in the back of our closets. Like tie-dye, these are best paired with solids, and generally classic shapes.
