the 10

pieces on my honeymoon packing list

It's kind of ironic that trend-spotter and street style photographer ANNE ZIEGLER (see her Beso outfit posts here) spends so much time behind the camera, because she kind of belongs in front of it, thanks to her truly enviable style. It's a bit like a citified take on an aesthetic that's rooted at the beach (Anne grew up in Los Angeles, after all). Naturally, we asked we asked this newlywed to spill on the pieces that she packed for after the wedding.

Herewith, the 10 pieces Anne Zeigler took on her honeymoon.

  • 1

    Stella McCartney Blouse

I've been obsessing over Stella's Resort collection for months—the tropical print pieces are just so happy, and they scream vacation. I planned my wardrobe around this blouse because I loved the colors, which make it so versatile. I paired it with denim cut-offs and strappy flat sandals for poolside lunches, and dressed it up with white slim pants and a wedge at night.

  • 2

    Sigerson Morrison Sandal

A metallic sandal is the perfect travel accessory—they go with everything! This gorgeous heel was all I needed to turn my daytime looks up a notch for more formal evenings.

  • 3

    Diptyque Mini-Candles

After logging many travel hours for work and, most recently, between coasts to visit my (now) husband, I have learned to create a sense of home wherever I am. One easy shortcut is to travel with my favorite candle. The familiar scent is relaxing and plus, they're romantic…it is your honeymoon after all! Dyptique's mini-candles are the perfect packable size.

  • 4

    Sperry Top Siders

I have loved my classic brown boat shoes right into the ground, so when I spotted this fluo update to a classic, they seemed like the perfect replacement pair. Boat shoes are great for every day, plus on your honeymoon, you may actually be aboard a boat!

    Karla Colletto One Piece

As a bikini lover for most of my life, I've recently fallen for the one-piece. This plunge front suit looks chic on the beach for day, and paired with a long skirt or pants, it can double as a top at night.

    Thierry Lasry Sunglasses

My one honeymoon shopping/packing regret is that I wish I had splurged on a new pair of shades! It is the one accessory that you wear everyday, and assuming you're heading somewhere sunny, they will be in every memorable pic that you snap, so it's worth putting a little extra thought into them. If I had a do-over, I would take a risk and play with a fun color or silhouette.

  • 7

    J. Crew Farmer's Market Tote

This is the perfect beach bag—it packs flat and goes with everything. There's not much else you can ask for!

  • 8

    Proenza Schouler PS1 Clutch

This bag can play multiple roles: It's a travel wallet, a beauty pouch inside a beach bag, and an evening clutch. I love how the leather complements the pop of color and the print. It's classic, but really fun.

  • 9

    i-Sound Crystal Compact Speakers

My husband is a bit of a music fanatic (and I am tone deaf, go figure...) so when I spotted these reasonably priced, portable speakers, it seemed like the ideal way for us to play music in our room or on the beach.

  • 10

    Bumble and bumble Surf Spray

Vacation beauty regimes should be low-key (it's supposed to be relaxing!) Bumble and bumble's surf spray creates the perfect messy sexy beach waves that are just what you need for sunset cocktails with your new hubby.

  • 11

    Nars Lipstick In Schiap

I adore this color: It pulls a whole look together without too much effort... and it looks great with a tan!

  • 12

    Smythson of Bond Street Stationery

I would not have been able to fully relax, had I not packed my stationary to write a few thank you notes to all of the wonderful people who helped plan such a special wedding for us.

  • 13

    La Perla Belle De Jour

I was lucky enough to receive some beautiful lingerie at my bridal shower, but as the tradition goes, one is not allowed to wear the lingerie until after the wedding, making it a honeymoon essential. Consider buying yourself a proper lingerie bag to protect the delicate pieces en route!

  • 14

    Rimowa "Topas" Multiwheel

Luggage perfected. Lightweight, durable and most importantly, the wheels roll in all directions so it's easy (and fun!) to navigate through the airport.
