There aren't many things that Texas-native DAVID HAMILTON actually needs to shop for, thanks, in part, to the fact that he and his sister, Kelly, stand at the helm of Hamilton Shirts, Houston's oldest family-owned business. To say that David is well turned-out is an understatement—after all, the company deals in impeccably tailored, bespoke button-downs, and is so dedicated to craftsmanship, that there's a full-fledged workshop attached to the showroom. (If you're ever in Houston, you have to go and check it out… otherwise, you can always order Hamilton Shirts through Barneys.) Because he was born and bred to be fastidious, David is equally attentive to everything he buys, from the binder clips used to secure orders in the shop to vintage home goods.
Here, the 10 places David Hamilton loves to shop online.
- 1
Staples
We don't allow paper clips at Hamilton because they really don't work, and we're serious about not losing our orders. We only use the medium black binder clips. Not the small…not the large…only the medium ones.
- 2
Etsy
My sister Kelly (who I co-own the shirt factory with) and I find a lot of cool things here for store displays. We recently bought some old photos and vintage hangers for the shop via one of our favorite sellers, Ohio Picker.
- 3
Book People
I'm a big fan of independent book stores and Book People in Austin is one of my favorites. Their site has an awesome selection of both downloadable and print options.
- 4
Le Labo
I order refills on the fragrance I like, which is Fleur D'oranger no.27.
- 5
- 6
Stubhub
I love to see live music, but my wife and I recently had a baby, so needless to say my ability to plan ahead for nights out are limited. When I do find time for a show, I want the best seats possible: Stubhub always has all the last-minute options. Hopefully, baby willing, we'll make it to see the Black Keys!

iTunes
I travel for work all the time, so before a flight I always download a handful of movies. My Favorite: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, though I'll watch anything with Will Ferrell in it over and over again.
- 8
Park & Bond
They have a great mix of designers, plus I really like their guides and advice for what to buy and how to wear it.
- 9
Amazon
I pretty much shop here for everything, but especially items not easily found at brick and mortar stores. One thing I always buy here are plastic baseball card holders. I place fabrics in them and use them to organize our seasonal swatch buys here at the shirt factory.

Audible
I go here to get audio books. Did I mention I travel a lot? I recently bought Thinking Fast and Slow for a drive to Dallas.
