things that make traveling fashionably a breeze

At the advanced age of 16, ETHAN SONG started his first internet company, got a taste of tech, and never looked back. Nowadays, the self-described "design-obsessed" CEO and co-founder of Frank & Oak, an affordable, member's only men's shopping website (and one of this year's Complex Mag's 10 Best New Men's Fashion Start-ups) travels non-stop to Asia and beyond to see through every aspect of the business from design to production. In other words, he spends most of his time on planes, and still manages to dress the Frank & Oak part.

Herewith, the 11 things Ethan Song leans on to make traveling fashionably a breeze.

  • 1

    Hotel Amour Paris

Small, dark, and beautiful. It became my favourite boutique hotel in Paris from my days studying in Europe. The restaurant is wonderfully relaxed and each room was designed by a different artist.

  • 2

    Warby Parker Griffin Sunglasses

I'm a big fan of Warby Parker's designs and their philosophy. I can really see my own customers in their products as well. I own the Griffin frame in a few different colors: Blonde tortoise is perfect for a day at the beach.

    A Continuous Lean

This is one of my favorite fashion blogs, mainly because it's not only about fashion but it's also about the story behind the products and the brands I love. You can feel the history and heritage of each item.

  • 4

    Ace Hotel

Each one is unique in its own city; I love the one in New York because it feels like my apartment. Whichever one I stay at, the atmosphere is always really chill. Such a great place to start a journey.

  • 5

    APC Merino-Angora Wool Crewneck Pullover

APC's designs have the comfort and casual feel of American wear and the thoughtful classicism of European design. It all feel authentic and their aesthetics are no-nonsense.

  • 6

    Maison Kitsuné Cap

Maison Kitsuné is such a cool brand that combines Parisian style with subtle flair. Not only do they design clothing, but they're also a music label and a publisher. I really admire the way they combine disparate art forms, and aren't afraid to collaborate with different artists. They have a "new classic" style in everything they create
    that is everlasting.

  • 7

    Monocle Magazine

The content of this magazine itself is pure quality and I love the way it brings international topics and design together. It's an inspirational way to discover new brands, new destinations, and new insight.

  • 8

    Wall Street Journal Magazine

A superbly-written fashion lifestyle magazine that covers deeper content. The photography is beautiful but it also delivers engaging topics in fashion that you'd be hard-pressed to find anywhere else. The interviews are especially great because they get past the mundane questions.

  • 9

    UJ Uniqlo Jeans

These are the best Japanese raw denim jeans you can get for such
a price. The straight slim cut fits nicely and dresses up with a blazer so well.

  • 10

Uniform Wares 302 Series Chronograph Watch

Every man needs a good watch. This one by Uniform Wares suits all occasions with its minimal and masculine aesthetic. They've released some of the most interesting, yet timeless designs over the past few years.

  • 11

    Rimowa Cabin Trolley Suitcase

Its extreme functionality makes it even more stylish. I travel a lot and I love its ease of use and sleek look. Nothing is forgotten in its design.
