Celebrity stylist and new mom NICOLE CHAVEZ knows a thing or two about getting Hollywood's most photographed starlets camera and red carpet ready. After all, she spends her days scouring designer showrooms looking for the most beautiful stuff out there—all while keeping clients like Rachel Bilson, Kristen Bell, Jessica Simpson, and Scarlett Johansson in mind. Now that she has her three-month-old son Zev in tow, the chic trend setter is applying her keen eye to the contents of her (ahem, Goyard) diaper bag, which is filled with practical items that just happen to be, well, fashionable and cool, too.
Herewith, Nicole Chavez's top 13 stylish diaper bag essentials.
- 1
GoyardLarge Tote Bag
I use this bag the most, because it's neutral and goes with everything—plus, it's super light weight and holds all the items I need. Bonus: I'll always be able to use it later in life after its diaper bag duty is done.
- 2
Marni Shopping tote
OK, I actually have two diaper bags. This Marni bag provides a bright option to the neutral Goyard. It's playful, cheery, and the waxy fabric is easy to wipe off and doesn't get stained.
- 3
Sophie The Giraffe Teether
It's a classic. Everyone has one of these and now I see why. The squeaky sound gets him excited and happy. It's a great toy and teether in one, which makes it perfect for light and easy packing.

Seventh Generation Travel Baby Wipes
These are chlorine-free and work really well. I can use them on his face and body—or for just about anything really! Also, the travel packs are so light and easy to tote around.
- 5
Tilly Whistle Handmade Fabric Booties
I was looking everywhere for soft cute booties that fit him and it was impossible! I found these on Etsy.com and ordered them in linen, grey and black velvet (for a more formal look). I always carry extra little socks or booties so his feet don't get cold.
- 6
Wubbanub Giraffe Pacifier
I had no idea what this was when I first saw it; I just thought it was cute. But then I figured out all the wonderful benefits to this pacifier! The animal helps it stay on the baby's chest and anchors it in place so it doesn't fall (as often). It's also super easy to find, while traditional pacifiers have a tendency to disappear. I always keep one in my diaper bag.

Makie Changes of Clothes
Zev is always in little onesies, and I always have a change of clothes or two on hand just in case. I found this line at Jenni Kayne's West Hollywood boutique and became obsessed! The onesies are simple, adorable and super useful.

Little Choux Red Polka Dot Bib
I like to dress Zev in a lot of grey, because that's his color. I accent the grey with this red and white bib for a pop of color. Plus, it's extra long so it keeps him from getting messy.
- 9
Aden & Anais Earthly Bamboo Swaddles
I love these because they can double as a swaddle and a lightweight blanket, making packing a bag much easier and less bulky. They're very multipurpose and soft and really work for everything.
- 10
Whoozit Activity Spiral
I drape this over his car seat and bring it wherever we go, because it's easy to travel with and instantly engages him.

BonBon Burp Cloth
BonBon is the cutest baby line I've ever seen and their burp cloths are no exception. Let's face it, there is nothing chic about a burp cloth, but this one really is stylish. These are really lightweight and almost look like a pretty gauze scarf to go with anything you're wearing, even something that's a bit dressier.

Giggle Organic Cotton Changing Pad
What's great about this changing pad is that it folds up, but it's also thick enough that you can lay it anywhere and it still stays cushy enough for a baby. One side is wipeable and other side is muslin, so you have options for clean up, which is key.

Honest Company Diapers
I met Jessica Alba through Jessica (Simpson) and wanted to try the products from her new company. I like that the diapers are eco-friendly and that they come in cute graphics like gingham and star print. For Zev, I use the diapers dotted with little anchors.
