You might know Digital Media Strategist Ellie Rountree (@elspethjane) from her days as the host of Rocketboom Tech, where she vlogged about the digital world, or you might know her from TV: As an expert on internet culture she shows up on the small screen to give soundbytes a lot. We know and love her because not only does she know about gadgets, but she tends to put a seriously stylish twist on them, too. Here, the items that Ellie can't quite live without.
- 1
iPhone 4
Sure, it's obvious, but you can't beat the iPhone's ease—and it works so well with lots of other tech items.
- 2
Elago iPhone Case
Cheap and chic, these cases are incredibly light, come in tons of bright colors, and have a no-slip surface so I can put them down pretty much anywhere and they won't slide off.
- 3
Wacom's Inkling
For people who love to scribble, this piece of tech records what you draw on paper then turns it into a digital file. Pretty cool (and fun) looking, right?

Klipsch Image S4 In-Ear Speakers
These are inexpensive and a great value compared to other high-end, in-ear speakers. Plus, these won't mess your hair
up if you need to wear headphones for an extended period
of time! - 5
Fisheye, Macro, Wide Angle and Telephoto Phone Lenses
Apps still haven't been able to perfectly replicate the look of these lenses, even if they're misleadingly tiny! Such a fun addition to a phone.
- 6
Canon T2i
This is a great DSLR that's going down in price but basically still has the same capabilities as its newer counterpart. I can take gorgeous HD videos with this, and way better images than I thought I was capable of.
- 7
MacBook Air 13"
As someone constantly on the go, it wasn't hard to ditch all the heavy laptop and accessories for something lighter. Note: You'll want an extra hard drive because it doesn't come with much memory. Here's a sexy LaCie (they are the best, most stable brand, in my opinion), which could easily be mistaken for a flask.

Samsung Smart TV
Instead of purchasing a multitude of other boxes to get streaming capabilities to your TV (Like the Roku Box or XBox), I went for this TV because it has streaming capabilities. They're still a little expensive but it's worth it!
- 9
X-mini II Portable Speaker
This tiny little speaker actually sounds great—and is perfect for traveling (sometimes you want audio without being strapped to headphones)!
- 10
Suunto t3d Women's Heart Rate Monitor and Fitness Training Watch
This watch does it all and is the best for keeping me on track to have an effective workout. Try it and you'll be hooked: Also, it's much better than most other heart rate monitors!

Go Pro Camera
This is a mountable camera that is waterproof and can take almost any beating. Search Youtube for great Go-Pro videos if you don't believe me: You can attach it to a surfboard, under your car, on your bike, helmet, wherever!
