Jacqueline Bush: Hi, I'm Jacqueline Bush, contributing makeup artist and hair stylist for Beso.com. Today we're going to show you how to get a great blowout in 10 minutes.

Jacqueline: So the first thing I'm going to do is apply a little bit of gel to the roots of the hair. What that's going to do is going to give it a little bit of volume. Then what you're going to do is you're going to rub it on your fingertips. The reason I say fingertips is usually you don't get down here with the hair. So rubbing it on your fingertips, going in at the root of the hair, massaging it in, taking it a little bit through the ends.

After we've applied the gel, I'm going to apply a little bit of a smoother, mixed with some pomade. This is called Magic Move. What it does is it contorts to however I choose to blow-dry the hair. So it's not similar to all pomades; it's a specific one.

I'm going to mix these two together and apply it mid-shaft to ends, starting at the back of the hair, working your way towards the front and down to the ends. And now the product's in the hair.

After applying all the product in the hair, as you notice, her hair is dry. This is part of the swiftness of doing a quick blow-dry is that the hair's pretty much dry already. This is if you just woke up out of bed and you slept on your head wet last night; now it's dry, but maybe lifeless.

I'm going to take large sections around her head, with a metal brush. The reason I'm using a metal brush in this case is because metal brushes heat faster than regular boar-bristle brushes. They heat from the inside-out, so it gets the hair really nice and hot, so I can work a lot faster.

And I'm going to take large sections, focusing more on the ends and on the root. What you'll notice that I don't do is focus so much on the inside of the hair. And the reason for that is nobody's seeing that. So we want to focus on what is the most important part of the blow-dry -- the crown, the roots, and then along the perimeter of the hair.

Jacqueline: So what I'm going to do is look for the ends that are still a little bit frizzy, such as right in here, and I'm going to take a large-barrel curling iron and I'm just going to tap those ends slightly with it.

So, when you're using your curling iron, make sure that you always smooth the hair once, and then, on the second time, just lightly weave those ends through. You don't have to hold it long, because it's more about just making it nice and smooth. And what keeps the volume in this is that you're not taking the iron to the roots, because sometimes a curling iron can make the hair fall a little flat. But because you're only doing it on the ends, you won't have that problem. And take a little bit of smoothing drops, the edge shine, will give a little more moisture to those ends.

Jacqueline: So that's how you get a smooth, sleek blowout in under 10 minutes. For more tips and tricks, come hang out with us at Beso.com.
