JACQUELINE BUSH shares her technique to achieving just that – by way of fierce, sultry lids – in minutes flat.

Jacqueline Bush: Hi, I'm Jacqueline Bush, contributing make up artist and hair stylist for Today I'm going to show you how to do a quick smoky eye.

The first thing I'm going to start with is a cream base foundation on her eye. What that's going to do is provide the foundation to keep that eye in place for longer wear. I'm going to mix a little of the darker mixed with a touch of the lighter.

The next thing I'm going to do is I'm going to take my eye pencil in black, and I'm going to rim her inner lids. Then we're going to take it along the edge of her lashes. It's OK to be a little messy. Notice how that I'm going back along the lash line.

Then I'm going to go along the top and just line it, not paying too much attention. Then I'm going to blend that with my finger tip. I'm going to blend underneath her eyes with a soft brush that's flat. Now taking an angled blending brush, I'm going to go in with my dark brown, starting at the corner of the eye, and then blend inwards, and then, taking a little more right on top just to blend that in with the black.Using that same brush that we used before, we're going underneath. We're connecting it right at the corner. We're just going to finish off the look with some mascara.

That's how you get a quick smoky eye. Come hand out with us at for more quick tips and tricks.
